4-taon drug war ni Duterte may 1k kaso kada araw

MISTULANG bumalik sa 2016 o noong kauupo pa lang sa Palasyo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at naging ‘retorika’ ang isinusulong niyang drug war.

Kamakalawa ng gabi, tulad ng inaasahan tumirada ng kanyang ‘retorika’ at  muling binatikos ni Duterte ang human rights advocates na kritiko ng extrajudicial killings resulta ng kanyang drug war.

Hinimok ng Pangulo ang human rights advocates na maghanap na lamang ng ibang laban kaysa kontrahin ang kanyang kampanya kontra illegal drugs

“Human rights, you better look for another fight, genocide, you know which countries… But do not tinker with the drug problem in the Philippines. This is mine and mine alone,” sabi niya sa kanyang pre-recorded public address kamakalawa ng gabi.

“Instead of going after us, who are enforcing the law, do not threaten us with imprisonment and investigation because you are trying to pin down an individual maybe out of bigotry. Pero kami, we are here, we were trying to save a nation. Everyday almost 1,000 cases of drugs,” dagdag niya.

Bibigyan umano ng Pangulo ng kopya ang human rights advocates ng kopya ng listahan ng mga arestado sa drug cases na umano’y nakalathala sa “8888 bulletin.”

“Iyan ang problema natin, so organized na talagang may mga factory na sila kung saan-saan and it is a worldwide business. Kaya tayo, hoy mga p****** i** kayong mga human rights. Kung hindi ba ninyo tinitingnan iyan, it’s being posted at the [8888] bulletin, bigya — bigyan ko kayo ng kopya — mabuti pa bigyan ko kayo ng kopya,” aniya.

Hinimok niya ang human rights advocates na kombinsihin ang mga nasa listahan na huminto sa illegal drugs activities at balaan sila na baka ikamatay nila kapag nagpatuloy sa masamang gawain.

“Convince these people — nasa listahan to stop kasi sabihin mo maghinto kayo kay baka mamatay kayo. That is the proper way of doing things,” giit niya. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
