NILINAW ni Film Development Council of the Philippines (FCDP) Chairman Liza Dino na walang kompetisyon sa isasagawang Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2018.
“The is no competition in the PPP. PPP is a flat form to showcase filmsm,” paglilinaw nito. ”So, regardless kung saan ka nanggaling na festival,” susog pa ng FDCP chair.
“Unang-una, walang kinikita ang FDCP dito. Kumbaga, bakit magiging competition? Siguro kung may profit kumbaga, pero no, I mean this is all for the filmmakers. This is all for the producers.
“So, there is no competition. We want them to be part of this.”
Sinabi pa ni Chair Diñ na gusto n’yang tulungan ang walong entries para kumita.
“I believe itong ating special featured section, may captured market na ‘yan. Fifteen years na ‘yang mga independent festivals sa atin. So, I’m sure they already nurtured the audience na manonood ng mga ganitong films.
“So ito na ‘yan, we’ve just given them a wider audience and to gain new audiences pa because of PPP,” sambit pa ni Dino.
Ang anim na Special Feature Films ay kinabibilangan ng mga pelikulang Balanginga: The Howling of Wilderness (QCinema 2017); Gusto Kita with All My Hypothalamus (CineFilipino Film Festival 2018); High Tide (ToFarm Film Festival 2017); Kiko Boksingero (Cinemalaya 2017); Paki (Cinema One Originals 2017); at Tu Pug Imatuy (Sinag Maynila 2017).
