“I want to commend coach Leo (Austria) because again, he had a good game plan. We’re fortunate to get away with two wins. SMB does not give up. I don’t think dehado sila. It’s a team of winners and great players,” wika ni Compton. “It’s just that some of their shots didn’t fall and ours fell. We also need to cut down on our turnovers. They’re super tough and Yancy also gave us a lot of problems. Vic’s got the capacity to dominate the game and we thank Luigi (Trillo, dating Alaska coach) for making the trade to get him.”

“We did a good job because they adjusted their game. It’s just the breaks of the game. I told the players na anuman ang mangyari, we will keep on fighting kahit may handicap kami,” ani Austria. “If we had June Mar, it’s a different story. We could hardly get open shots for our shooters dahil extended ang defenses ng Alaska.”
