“He (PNoy) was questioned by one congressman about what about the content, on whether will it be okay if there will be revisions?,” ani Rodriguez.
“The President said, ‘it will also be difficult if there are so many dilutions, if it will be diluted that it may not be effective and will not also be accepted by the MILF,’ the President said that. He’s concerned na ma-diluted talaga ‘yung bill, na-mention din niya ‘yun.”
Sinabi pa aniya ng Pangulo na, “there is no alternative to having peace in Mindanao but the BBL, and if we don’t have a BBL then we go back to war, which has caused billions (damage) and thousands of lives.”
“Walang mangyari if we are going to allow these provisions, it will be struck down as unconstitutional. So … we will strengthen the bill by making it’s constitutional. It’s not watering down,” paliwanag ng mambabatas.
“Inspite of the appeal of the President not to water them down, we are going to delete because our oath of office is that we are going to uphold the Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines.”
