Zambo police chief humakot ng ‘suko’ mula sa MNLF (Akala ay hostage)

LIGTAS na nakalabas sa pugad ng Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) si Zamboanga City police chief, Senior Supt. Jose Chiquito Malayo, sinasabing binihag ng mga rebelde, kasama ang 23 sumukong MNLF fighters.

Ayon kay Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, nagawang kombinsihin ni Malayo ang 23 MNLF fighters na sumuko na lamang.

“I am pleased to inform you that Zambo City director Senior Superintendent Chiquito Malayo has successfully convinced 23 MNLF fighters to come into the fold of the law. He and the 23 are en route back from Brgy. Mampang being escorted by Regional Director, Chief Superintendent Boy Vano,” pahayag ni Roxas sa text message.

Si Malayo ay nakitang lulan ng coaster kasama ng MNLF members.

Ayon sa pahayag ng Philippine National Police (PNP), nakipagnegosasyon si Malayo para sa pagpapalaya sa mga hostage sa mangrove area sa Brgy. Mampang sa Zamboanga City nang isama ng mga rebelde.         (HNT)
