ANG bongga naman ng Ulan ng Viva Films at pinagbibidahan nina Nadine Lustre at Carlo Aquinodahil ito ang kauna-unahang movie na nakipag-collaborate ang HOOQ, ang pinakamalaking video-on-demand service sa Southeast Asia.
Kuwento ni Milette Rosal, head ng marketing ng Hooq bago naganap ang premiere night ng Ulan sa Trinoma Cinema, bago pa man ang produksiyon ay pumasok na ang HOOQ.
“Co-production kami with Viva Films,” ani Rosal. ”This will going to be the first, so there will be many more to come. And what is this really about is encouraging a lot of our directors, screenplay writers and artists to really produce great quality films and we’re going to support that. Kasi in the region as you know, we had the filmmakers guild. There’s original productions coming from the region. But in the Philippines, this is the first ever that we really thing and with the partners whose been supporting HOOQ.”
Nang tanungin kung kailan ito ilalagay online, sagot ng Hooq, ”We’re not talking about that now. Because our trust today is really push the movie and we are into different kind of originals.”
Iginiit pa ni Ms. Rosal na, “We’re not at liberty to talk about that because we’re really want to push the theatrical success of the movie. So it’s really supporting the artist, supporting Viva, and really exercising our commitment to coming up with great quality Filipino movies.”
Napili naman nila ang Viva o ang Ulan dahil, ”It’s was a really great script. We support Nadine. Nadine is one of the most viewable artist on our platform. She’s the multimedia princess and the script is really great. We have a couple of the director’s title on our platform—‘Sid & Aya,’ ‘Meet Me in St. Gallen,’ those we’re really done well. Knowing that she’s done great with these past films, this gonna do great. So this is a perfect project for us. So that’s the support we’re looking at.”
