“With regard to the recent remarks of Undersecretary Lorraine Badoy on Sr. Mary John Mananzan, I defer to Usec. Badoy, as she is in the best position to elucidate and substantiate her statement,” ani Andanar sa isang kalatas kamakalawa.

“We would like to clarify that the assertions made by her, do not in any way reflect the views of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) or my views as its chief information officer,” dagdag ni Andanar.

“Badoy has gone way too far in her red-baiting and vilification activities by accusing one of the living pillars of Philippine activism, Sr. Mary John Mananzan, of aiding and abetting rape, pillage, mass murders, and other horrific crimes,” pahayag ng MAT.

“Such wild and baseless accusations coming from an undersecretary and official of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) not only defames Sr. Mary John’s person and reputation but puts her life and liberty in peril,” sabi ng grupo.
