DURING the Gabi ng Parangal of Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino ay masayang ibinalita ni FDCP Chairwoman Liza Dino-Seguerra na pasok sa 24th Busan International Film Festival ang “Mindanao” na pinagbibidahan ni Judy Ann Santos katambal ang awarded actor na si Allen Dizon na idinirek ng famous sa Cannes Film Festival na si Brillante Mendoza.
Sobrang nakaka-proud naman kasi ang nasabing film, na last Oct 3 ay nag-umpisa nang ipalabas kasama ng iba pang international films sa Busan Int’l Film Festival at kasama sa rumampa roon ang cast ng movie na sina Judy Ann with Direk Brillante at Mindanao co-Actors na sina Allen Dizon at Vin Cerillon.
Sinamahan din si Juday ng kanyang very supportive husband na si Ryan Agoncillo at manager-friend na si Sir Biboy Arboleda. Pasok sa Icons category ang Mindanao at applauded ito sa nasabing festival.
Ano ba ang papel ni Juday sa movie ito? “I play a Muslim mother, asawa ng sundalo. ‘Yung anak niya ay cancer patient,” lahad ng actress.
“So the struggles and iyong experience ng isang nanay na nagta-travel from a very far province in Mindanao to go to Davao para lang magkaroon ng maayos na treatment ang anak niya for cancer, and trying her very best para matalo ang cancer.
“Habang ‘yung asawa naman niyang sundalo (portrayed by Allen) e, kinakalaban naman iyong isang cancer ng ating lipunan which is war,” sunod-sunod pang kuwento ni Juday na first time sumayaw ng muslim dance sa pelikula.

Feeling heaven and very thankful si JC Garcia, dahil last October ay hindi niya inaasahan na mapupuno niya ang venue ng Ichiban Comedy Bar sa South San Francisco para sa kanyang Birthday concert titled “Dance Your Night Away” kasama ang kanyang bandang Projex Inx.

I got nervous around 5 pm but I saw people start coming in at 6 and we start the show at exactly 7 pm and I start singing Purple rain… people start dancing, Gee i can’t believed I have so much friends in the bay Area already… thank you for all your support and for all the love I felt tonight,” sey ni JC.
