Mother Lily, pinapurihan ang press sa kanyang 77th birthday

DUMAGSA ang mga nagmamahal kay Mother Lily Monteverde sa magarbong selebrasyon ng kanyang 77th birthday na ginanap sa kanyang Valencia Events Place. Inalay ni Mother Lily ang kanyang party sa entertainment press na patuloy pa rin siyang sinusuportahan sa lahat ng kanyang mga proyekto.

Ang ipinagkaiba ng birthday ni Mother Lily, naging gabi iyon ng entertainment press na binigyang-halaga niya at naging bahagi ng kanyang ups and downs simula noon hanggang ngayon. “I celebrate 77 years of my colorful life for the unsung heroes of Mother Lily’s life and Regal Films. My dear editors, reporters as it is for me and my family. As you very well know my love affair with the entertainment press is a very good material for a movie. Through the years our relationship may be compared to Romeo and Juliet. Other times naman parang si Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible. What I’m trying to say is hindi laging smooth ang pinagdadaanan ni Mother Lily as a producer trying to keep up with the times, but you my friends from the media have always stood by me thru thick and thin.

“Sila ang tinatawag kong unsung heroes. They are very dear to me and I treasure them so much because they have helped me through thick and thin. I owe a big part of my success to showbiz press that’s why I love them with all my heart,” pahayag ni Mother Lily.

Dumalo sa okasyon ang Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEED), Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) at Entertainment Press Society (ENPRESS), pati na ang ibang writers na binigyan ng tig-P100k ni Mother,Plus 1milyon para sa Mowelfund naman.

“Masyado kong mahal ang press dahil kung wala sila, walang tutulong kay Mother Lily at sa mga pelikula ng Regal. That’s why I want to dedicate this party to them. It’s about time we give them due credit. Sana magkasama-sama pa tayo ng another 77 years, magloka-lokahan, chika-chikahan, at okray-okrayan. Gagawa ako ng lugar para sa inyo dito sa Velencia.”

Star-studded ang naturang event at kabilang sa bumati kay Mother Lily sina Ai Ai delas Alas, Christopher de Leon, Tirso Cruz III, Annabelle Rama, Eddie Gutierrez, Carlo J. Caparas with Donna Villa, Lorna Tolentino, Ms. Malou Choa Fagar, Lance Raymundo, Martin del Rosario, Billy Crawford, Kean Cipriano with Chynna Ortaleza, Maryo delos Reyes, Joey Javier Reyes, Manny Castañeda, Jun Lana with Direk Perci Intalan, Senators Dick Gordon at Grace Poe, Ms. Susan Roces, at iba pa. Sa ngayon, after ng tagumpay ng That Thing Called Tanga Na, susunod na handog ng Regal ang romantic-comedy na My Rebound Girl starring Alex Gonzaga at Joseph Marco na mapapanood sa Setyembre. Sa Oktubre naman ipalalabas ang sex-drama-love story na The Escort na pinagbibidahan nina Christopher, Lovi Poe, at Derek Ramsay. Ang Our Mighty Yaya nina Ai Ai at Megan Young, Mano Po VIII: Chinoy nina Richard Yap, Jean Garcia at iba pa. Samantala, ang horror film na Puwera Usog ang isinumiteng entry ng Regal para sa 2016 MIFF.
