HINIRANG ng Komisyon sa Wikang Pilipino (KWF) ang Hataw Tabloid bilang isa sa mga huwarang diyaryo pagdating sa pagpapalaganap ng wastong paggamit ng Wikang Filipino sa pagbabalita sa ginanap na Kapihang Wika sa National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Intramuros nitong Biyernes.
Layunin ng Kapihang Wika na ipalabas sa unang pagkakataon ang Kapasiyahan ng Kalipunan ng mga Komisyoner Blg. 15-08 Serye ng 2015 patungkol sa pagpatibay ng kapasiyahan para sa mungkahing paggamit ng “Filipino” sa halip na “Pilipino” bilang pantukoy sa tao at kultura ng Filipinas.
Sa mabilisang pag-uulat ni G. John Enrico Torralba, Officer-in-charge ng Sangay ng Edukasyon at Networking, sa paggamit ng Wikang Filipino sa Midya, kaniyang ibinida ang karamihan sa ulo ng balita ng Hataw tabloid na gumagamit ng tamang pagbaybay, pagbabantas at wastong paggamit ng Wikang Filipino.
Umani ng papuri ang nasabing diyaryo kabilang ang miyembro nito dahil sa suportang ibinibigay sa KWF lalo sa pagsulong ng estandardisadong paraan ng paggamit ng Wikang Filipino.
Bukod sa Hataw, kinilala rin ang tatlo pang pahayagan bilang tagapagsulong sa layon ng Komisyon.
Patuloy na hinihikayat ng panauhing tagapagsalitang si Dr. Purificacion Delima, Full-time na Komisyoner sa Ilokano, hindi lamang ang mga pahayagan kundi pati radio at telebisyon sa wastong pagpapalaganap ng Ortograpiyang Filipino.
Sa kabilang banda, nakahanay na ang mga aktibidad ng KWF para sa darating na pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa.
Kaugnay nito hinimok ng KWF ang mga taga-midya na maging mapanuri sa tamang paggamit ng Wikang Filipino.
Ayon kay Dr. Delima, napalakas ng impluwensiya ng midya, hindi lamang sa National Capital Region (NCR) kundi sa buong Filipinas kaya’t nararapat na tama ang paggamit ng wikang Filipino.
“Mahirap naman po na sa paaralan ay tinuturuan sila (mga mag-aaral) ng tamang porma ng wikang Filipino pero pagdating naman sa TV, sa radio, sa print media… e, taliwas sa kanilang natutuhan,” dagdag ni Dr. Delima.
Aniya, hindi hiram na mga titik ang f, v, z dahil may mga salita mula sa ilang rehiyon, na dati nang kabilang sa Wikang Pambansa, na ginagamit ang nasabing mga titik.
Layunin nito na magkaroon ng konsistensi sa pagbabaybay ng salitang “Filipino” bilang wika, tao at kultura.
Hinikayat ng mga tagapagsalitang na pasimulan ng mga mamamahayag na dumalo ang paggamit ng nasabing pagbabago.
Bagaman nitong Biyernes lang naisapubliko, noong Mayo 2015 ipinagtibay ng nasabing kalupunan ang kapasiyahan ng KWF.
