Blu Girls palaban sa World Cup

UMARANGKADA na  ang Philippine Blu Girls kahapon para sa World Cup of Softball XI laban sa US sa Oklahoma City.

Nakatakdang harapin ng Pinays ang China ngayong araw.

“I am very confident that our girls will give other teams a run for their money in this tournament. I have been challenging them not just to be competitive but to win games here,” wika ni Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines president Jean Henri Lhuillier.

Ibinandera sina Fil-Ams Gabrielle Maurice, Dani Gilmore, Chelsea Suitos, Sierra Lange at Garie Blando at Philippine-based Riflayca Basa, Analie Benjamen, Angeli Ursabia, Floriabele Pabiana, Mary Kuisse Garde, Cristy Joy Roa, Dione Macasu, Rizza Bernardino, Kriska Piad, Mary Ann Antolihao, Franchesca Altamonte, Arianne Vallestero, Celestine Palma, Roxzell Niloban at Lorna Adorable para bitbitin ang Pilipinas.

“This is just the first step towards our goal of making the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Our girls need as much international exposure as they can get to use to the high standards of competition. Our goal is not just to make the 2020 Olympics but to contend for a medal when that time comes,” sabi ni Lhuillier.

Samantala, kakasahan nila bukas ang Puerto Rico at pagkatapos ng kanilang laban, tutungo naman ang Blu Girls sa Surrey British Columbia sa Hulyo 15 hanggang 24 para sa lahukan ang World Women’s Softball Championships.
